I’ve spent years on Pinterest and was always fascinated by the Winter Wonderland Maternity Pictures. I knew I never wanted to spend a lot of money on maternity pictures. Not that I didn’t see the point, but it was just not an expense I wanted to take. I wanted to prove to myself that I can save money on this too.
If you want to save money and take your own maternity pictures you need the following:
A tripod or somewhere to place your phone or camera.
Any Camera. It can be a phone camera or digital camera.
Props: such as a teddy bear, baby shoes, sonogram Etc.
Once you have the basic materials listed above, you need to find a location of where you want to take your pictures at. Since you will be taking them on your own, I highly recommend you take them outdoors in the daytime to get the best natural lighting.
For my maternity pictures, we literally woke up, saw snow and grabbed our camera and left. When we got to the park, we realized we forgot our tripod so we took a garbage can and flipped it over and used it as our stand. (Yes we did that).
These were the pictures we took:

We honestly had so much fun taking them! We also had the whole park to ourselves and it was nice to be able to have a spontaneous but fun and intimate moment with just the two of us.
I hope this helps you save money and motivate you to take your own maternity pictures ❤️
With love,
Andrea
